Cos’è una Cena Progressiva?

Progressive Dinner

Alcuni la traducono letteralmente in “cena progressiva“… ma cos’è una cena progressiva?

Mai sentita fino a qualche giorno fa. E la prima immagine che mi è saltata in mente di questa progressive dinner è stata una tavola imbandita con Peter Gabriel e i suoi Genesis, e altri componenti dei Jethro Tull seduti a mangiare assieme (per chi non avesse associato, sono musicisti del genere “progressive“-rock).

Fondamentalmente una “progressive dinner” richiede una certa organizzazione, anzi vista l’assurdità direi una “certa premeditazione”. Deve essere organizzata perché fondamentalmente si tratta di una “sessione di cena” ma avviene in luoghi (locali) differenti nella stessa serata. Insomma si comincia con l’aperitivo in un Pub o altro locale, poi si salta al prossimo locale o ristorante per un antipasto, il primo piatto in un terzo e così via fino ad arrivare al dessert, chissà dove.

Ovviamente si può fare anche come cena di gruppo tra amici -forse più logica e simpatica, più umana diciamo-, facendo le varie tappe in varie case di ciscuno degli elementi del gruppo.

Si parte da un minimo di 3 locali (antipasto, primo e secondo) fino ad arrivare anche al doppio o oltre.

In Italia sarebbe un dramma, il caffettino in un bar, l’amaro in un altro locale, poi l’ammazzacaffé, il grappino in un altro… insomma 4 locali solo a fine pasto.

Ma appunto, mi chiedo, in Italia si usa farne? E se sì, come le chiamate?
Cene progressive? Cena a tappe?
